Hybrid inverter/charger
The Multi RS Solar 48/6000 is a 48 V 6 kVA inverter/charger with two independent 3 kWp PV 450 V MPPT tracker inputs for a total of 6 kWp PV.
Thanks to high-frequency technology and a new design, this powerful inverter weighs only 11 kg. It also has excellent efficiency, low standby power and very quiet operation.
The display reads the battery, inverter and solar parameters. The same parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device via the VictronConnect app.
In mid-2023, the Multi RS was further developed from a single MPPT tracker to a dual MPPT tracker model.

Can I also use the Multi RS Solar in 3-phase mode?
Yes, absolutely. By installing three Multi RS Solar (one per phase), you can build an extremely powerful 3-phase system with up to 18 kVA output and six independent solar charge controllers.
Do I always need a Cerbo GX for this device?
Not mandatory. The Multi RS Solar has its own display and Bluetooth for configuration and monitoring via the VictronConnect app. For complete system monitoring, the connection of energy meters and worldwide access via the VRM portal, however, a Cerbo GX (or another GX device) is essential and highly recommended.
What does "450V" mean for the solar input?
This is the maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc,) of the solar modules that you can connect to a tracker in a series (string). This high voltage makes it possible to connect many modules in a string. This reduces the amount of cabling on the roof, lowers costs and minimizes power losses in the cables. The maximum voltage is 8 times the float voltage of the batteries, e.g. 54V x 8 = 432V!
Is the Multi RS Solar suitable for every battery?
It is suitable for a wide range of 48V batteries, but develops its full potential best with modern lithium batteries (LiFePO4) that can communicate via a CAN bus interface, such as the Voltsmile batteries we recommend.
