The type 1+2 surge protection for direct and indirect lightning strikes is suitable for use with Fronius Symo GEN24 and Fronius Primo GEN24 inverters (all power classes) and therefore fulfills the standard requirement for the installation of DC surge protection close to the inverter 1⁾.

The overvoltage protection can be used equally for all devices, regardless of whether 1 or 2 trackers are used. In operation with only one tracker, one input on the overvoltage protection remains unconnected.

Thanks to the adjustable, integrated remote signaling, the system operator receives an automatic message via the Fronius Solar.web online portal 2⁾ when the overvoltage protection is triggered.

The surge protection is supplied as a retrofit kit and can be installed in the connection area of the inverter in just a few minutes.
