The MultiPlus-II is a powerful combination of inverter and charger. Which battery is right for me: LiFePO4 or AGM / Gel
It depends on your budget and your requirements.
AGM or gel batteries are a proven, robust and more cost-effective technology. They are ideal for beginners or for infrequent use.
LiFePO4 (lithium) batteries are lighter, have a significantly longer service life (more charging cycles) and can be discharged deeper. Thanks to their high energy efficiency and cycle stability, they are often the more economical choice in the long term, especially for intensive use in motorhomes or off-grid systems.
Can I install my Victron system myself?
If you have a sound knowledge of electrical engineering or are a specialist, this is possible. Victron products are designed for easy installation. However, we would like to point out that work on 230V systems may only be carried out by qualified specialists. The DC side, i.e. the wiring of the battery and solar system, should also not be carried out without knowledge. For a safe, standard-compliant and insurance-compliant installation, we strongly recommend coordinating the planning, execution and acceptance with an expert like us.
What is a charging booster for?
A charging booster (B2B charger) is installed between the starter battery and the supply battery. It guarantees that the body battery is fully charged efficiently and with the correct charging characteristic while driving - regardless of fluctuating alternator voltages.
