Solar Charge Controllers
The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger uses the latest and fastest technology to convert energy from a solar array into power that optimally charges a battery bank.
The SmartSolar charge controller will even recharge a severely discharged battery. It can operate with battery voltage as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged.
MPPT: Ultra-fast tracking of the maximum power point.
V
The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger connects to a 150 or 250 volt Voc PV array and automatically detects and charges your 12, 24 or 48V battery bank with current ranging from 70 to 100A, depending on the model.
Charge settings are fully programmable and can even be set for different battery chemistries such as lead acid, lithium and others.
Remotely control your charger
The MPPT VE.Can SmartSolar charger can be remotely controlled and configured via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app. This allows for device setup, management, and at-a-glance information such as battery voltage and current, PV voltage and current, and history data.
Chained auxiliary units
The VE.Can SmartSolar charger is equipped with CAN bus connections. This enables communication with additional VE.Can SmartSolar chargers. The additional units are simply "daisy chained" between each other using a single RJ45 cable.
When linked together, all individual VE.Can SmartSolar chargers synchronize their charging levels. They can also send their data to a GX monitoring device via a single cable.
Remote monitoring and control
When the GX device is connected to the Internet, the Victron Remote Management Portal(VRM) provides access to the full power of your solar chargers
For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.SmartSolar control display
The VE.Can SmartSolar charger, like our other MPPT solar chargers, is equipped with a VE.Direct connector. This port can be used to monitor individual units or control street lights. The remote on/off connector can be controlled externally from a third-party device such as a lithium battery. An optional plug-in LCD display/control allows live data, setup and management directly from the fixture interface.
