Fronius Primo GEN24 Plus

Inverter for private PV systems with PV Point or Full Backup

Our single-phase hybrid inverter Fronius GEN24 Plus is the ideal heart for private PV systems. The Fronius GEN24 Plus offers an integrated basic emergency power supply with PV Point or even a comprehensive emergency power solution with the option of connecting a battery storage system.
The hybrid inverter Fronius GEN24 Plus enables energy self-sufficiency for electricity, heating, cooling and e-mobility through the use of a battery storage system. This means that Fronius GEN24 Plus with Full Backup* also has an emergency power solution that can supply even large consumers such as heat pumps. Thanks to Multi Flow Technology, the hybrid inverter enables parallel energy flows in the system even in emergency power mode.
* Additional external components for grid switching are required for full backup. Further information can be found in the operating instructions.

Integrated data communication

We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package in which data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, a web server and numerous interfaces are fully integrated. This means that the inverter is connected to the Internet via network cable or WLAN - without additional cabling - and you have an optimum overview of the operation of the PV system. Connection to third-party components is ensured via interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or Fronius Solar API (JSON). In addition, the open interfaces can be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.

Dynamic Peak Manager

The Dynamic Peak Manager is a new type of MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior when searching for the optimum operating point. The special feature is that the Dynamic Peak Manager regularly checks the entire characteristic curve automatically and thus finds the global maximum power point (GMPP) even in the event of partial shading.

Multi Flow Technology

With Multi Flow Technology, different DC and AC energy flows are possible in parallel. On the one hand, energy from the modules and energy from the battery can be made available to the household at the same time. On the other hand, the energy from the modules can also be fed into the battery and the household grid at the same time. Furthermore, the battery can be charged not only from the DC side, but also from the AC side (for example from existing PV systems or other energy sources such as a wind turbine). This means that the inverter is also suitable for AC-coupled retrofitting. The inverter manages these energy flows in such a way that the highest possible level of self-sufficiency is achieved.

SuperFlex Design

The Fronius SuperFlex Design is an ingenious combination of technical performance features that make designing PV systems particularly flexible and easy for you. The most important performance factors of the SuperFlex Design are Two MPP trackers in combination with the high system voltage and the wide DC input voltage range. Each DC input and therefore each MPP tracker is also able to absorb the entire rated inverter power. Whether different roof orientations, the shading of one or two strings or the use of residual modules: With a Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex design, you can cover every relevant design scenario in operational PV planning practice with just one inverter model.

Full Backup

With the Full Backup option, the entire household, i.e. 1-phase and 3-phase devices, can be supplied in the event of an emergency. In addition to the inverter, a battery and a switchover device for safe disconnection from the grid are required for full backup.

PV Point

The integrated basic emergency power supply, a socket supplied with emergency power, ensures that important loads can be operated even in the event of a grid failure.

Active cooling

Active cooling technology relies on one or more fans, which not only prevent heat fields, but also regulate the air circulation inside the inverter and thus keep the temperature of the power electronics low. This has a positive effect on the service life of the devices, optimizes yields and reduces costs. At Fronius, Active Cooling is a technology standard in all devices.
