Fronius Eco

The compact project inverter for maximum yields.

The three-phase Fronius Eco in the power classes 25.0 and 27.0 kW optimally meets the requirements of large systems. Thanks to its low weight and the SnapINverter mounting system, the transformerless device can be installed quickly and easily both indoors and outdoors. With protection class IP 66, the inverter series sets new standards. In addition, thanks to integrated, all-pole string fuse holders and optional DC overvoltage protection, the use of string collector boxes is no longer necessary.

SnapINverter technology

The SnapINverter inverter generation is characterized by its simple, consistent mounting system. This makes installation and maintenance easier than ever. The special feature of the device design is the separation of the connection and power section areas. Both are mounted separately. First, the exceptionally lightweight connection area, including all cabling, is mounted on the wall. Then the power section. The innovative swivel concept makes installation and service particularly user-friendly. The inverter is simply hooked into the wall bracket and then secured. This means that the entire inverter does not have to be removed for servicing, only the power section. The entire cabling remains intact.

Integrated data communication

We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a data communication package in which data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, a web server and numerous interfaces are fully integrated. This means that the inverter is connected to the Internet via network cable or WLAN - without additional cabling - and you have an optimum overview of the operation of the PV system. Connection to third-party components is ensured via interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec or Fronius Solar API (JSON). In addition, the open interfaces can be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.

Smart Grid Ready

Fronius inverters are ready for the smart grid of tomorrow. The inverters are ideally equipped for future grid technology requirements. A range of smart functions, so-called Advanced Grid Features, are available in the devices. These are various control functions for the optimum feed-in of reactive power and active power. The aim of these functions is to enable reliable grid operation even with a very high density of PV systems. And to prevent undesired interruptions in feed-in and the associated loss of yield due to cross-border grid parameters. The yield of the PV system is therefore optimally secured with Fronius inverters. In addition, Fronius inverters can be used to implement dynamic feed-in control, taking into account self-consumption in the event of feed-in limits. Simply connect the meter and set the feed-in limit!

Dynamic Peak Manager

The Dynamic Peak Manager is a new type of MPP tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior when searching for the optimum operating point. The special feature is that the Dynamic Peak Manager regularly checks the entire characteristic curve automatically and thus finds the global maximum power point (GMPP) even in the event of partial shading.

Zero feed-in

Electricity grid operators in many countries are increasingly demanding feed-in limitation of PV power as a prerequisite for grid connection. With dynamic power reduction, Fronius offers a solution for optimum feed-in management. The inverter first supplies the loads in the household. It then reduces the output to the maximum power feed-in permitted by the grid operator. Thanks to this function, zero feed-in is also possible with Fronius inverters. This means that no PV power is fed into the grid and the corresponding requirements of the grid operator can be easily met by means of a simple setting on the web interface of the inverter.

Active cooling

Active cooling technology relies on one or more fans, which not only prevent heat fields, but also regulate the air circulation inside the inverter and thus keep the temperature of the power electronics low. This has a positive effect on the service life of the devices, optimizes yields and reduces costs. At Fronius, Active Cooling is a technology standard in all devices.
