The UFR1001E grid disconnection relay monitors voltage and frequency in three-phase and alternating current grids.
It complies with the conditions for central NA protection in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4105:2018-11 in self-generation systems for feeding into the low-voltage grid. For VDE-AR-N 4105:2018-11, corresponding parameters have been stored in program 2 and the monitoring of the tie switch and the protection of parameters have been adapted accordingly.
The UFR1001E is suitable for feeding into the medium-voltage grid in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110:2018-11 as unit protection on the generating units and as intermediate decoupling protection. K1 is used as a life contact. It always switches with K2.
Use as higher-level decoupling protection only if no QU protection is required and after consultation with the grid operator and certifier.
The device has a two-channel, single-fault-proof design and therefore meets the requirements of VDE-AR-N 4105:2018-11. The function of the connected switch is monitored. When monitoring is activated, the device does not switch on again if a switch-off fault is detected; in the event of switch-on faults, attempts are made to switch the device back on, thus ensuring increased availability of the system.
Limit values for various applications are preset. They can be easily changed, if permissible.
With a 2-stage test, both tripping circuits can be tested separately and the switching time of connected tie switches can be determined.
The standby input can be used to implement a remote switch-off, e.g. with a ripple control receiver.
